Each system below is a distinct Trex product family with its own materials, colors and components. Components are not freely interchangeable between families — an X-Series post is not a Transcend post.

Trex publishes limited residential warranties across its decking and railing, ranging from 25 to 50 years depending on the product. Trex does not publish a single term that applies to every railing line, so we confirm the current warranty document for the exact system you select rather than quoting one number here.
A finished railing is a set of choices: the frame, the infill, the posts, the caps, the lighting and the gates. Which choices are available depends on which Trex family you are in.
Infill is collection-specific. Cable, mesh, rod and frameless glass belong to the Signature family.
Post and cap options follow the system. A cap sized for a 2.5" aluminum post does not fit a 4x4 composite post.
Trex states its aluminum gates coordinate with the Trex railing line; we confirm fit for the specific system on your project.
Color names are the manufacturer's own. Screens do not reproduce them accurately — ask us for physical samples before you choose.
Handrails and guardrails are different components with different jobs. Here is the plain-language version.
A guardrail is primarily intended to prevent a person from falling from an elevated walking surface. It is the barrier along the open edge of a deck, balcony or landing.
A graspable handrail is intended to provide something a person can hold for support and guidance, particularly along stairs or other applicable locations. It is shaped and sized to be gripped by a hand.
Not interchangeable
These are not necessarily interchangeable components. A guardrail top rail is not automatically a graspable handrail, and a graspable handrail is not automatically a fall barrier. Which components your project needs, and where, is determined by the project design and the applicable building code — not by the product catalog.
Before you settle on a configuration
Final railing and handrail configurations are subject to the project design, applicable engineering plans, manufacturer requirements, and local building codes. Choosing a product from a page like this one does not determine code compliance. The final configuration has to be based on the actual project — its heights, spans, post attachment, stair geometry and inspection requirements.
