About Sunrise Deck & Dock

Sunrise Deck & Dock is a licensed and insured marine contractor owned and run by Diego Perez Clemente and Jaileen Hernandez Acevedo, working on the lakes and rivers of Central Florida.

We are specialists rather than generalists, and for marine work that distinction matters more than it sounds. Water is a different engineering problem from dry land: piles have to be driven to bearing rather than to a depth that looked reasonable, fixings corrode if they are not the right alloy, levels move seasonally, and the pressure behind a seawall is doing its work where nobody can see it. A builder who puts in the occasional dock learns those things on somebody's project.

So the work starts before the build. You get a free estimate from an actual site visit — not a phone guess — then a 3D design of the structure against your own shoreline, so you can move something while it is still a drawing. We handle the permitting ourselves, which for marine work here can mean the county, the water management district and sometimes the Army Corps.

Then it gets built in marine-grade materials, on footings and piles sized for what they are actually carrying, and we walk it with you at the end.
